Notes for an Art School, the first publication of Manifesta 6 School Books was launched in Nicosia, Cyprus on Friday, 20 January 2006.

From 31 July to 13 August fabrik Potsdam offers two work weeks for artists who define their work as based on or resulting in dance/choreography.

"Summer University" [=SU] is a project initiated in the first meeting held in PAF in December 25-31 by a number of practitioners (artists, theoreticians, cultural workers etc.) who gathered for the first time in the house in St. Erme in order to create PAF.

"The Bazaar in the Cathedral" is one concrete proposal for the creation of a specific platform or context: the PAF, Performing Arts Forum. This new forum is located in a village nearby Reims, France, and has been proposed as an artist-created platform, which is to be shaped according to its users' desires.

An institution for development, production, distribution and research can be built up horizontally-with actors consisting only of innovation users (i.e. artists). A happy fast-forward family with a strong longing for yesness.

User-created institution is hot and production-centric institution is dead cold. The traditional system for institutions which relies on virtuosity, skill and different methods of preventing imitators are being overrun be more effective user-created modes of production.

On the 27 December a group of people come together in Reaim to discuss the opportunities of a an initiative of Jan Ritsema to create an "organization" for a new space of cultural production.

This web magazine offers a wide variety of articles on learning and knowledge production. A majority of the papers refer to management and organizational issues of learing but several pages reflect issues that were strongly discussed during Mode05.
