MODE05

Talking about a possible form of a notation / documentation / of what was happening at mode05:
– Including thoughts and motivations from the preparations. We still want to do a publication of the process and content of mode05.

As you may have realized when visiting our website, there has not been a continuous feeding-in of content. Before the start, the team had decided to first leave the text developments within an intranet before they get edited and mirrored onto the public site. In doing so, we would like to allow the materials to mature with time, so that they can develop a clear structure.

Organising mode05 there is no specific educational model we (Ulrike and Martin) have in mind and think of as being suitable for future dance/choreography education.

"Instruction: Reducing intelligence" is written by Jan Ritsema for Sarai reader about Jacques Rancière and his efforts to a less destructive education

This letter is an attempt to formulate some basic ideas and motivations concerning the initiative, upcoming process and aims of mode05. It has been written by the organizers and is thought of as the starting point and initial material for a rewriting process involving everybody connected to the project.
