MODE05 - Thought http://mode05.org/taxonomy/term/3/0 An idea, spontaneous thought that refers to the project m05 The Bazaar in the Cathedral http://mode05.org/node/183
"The Bazaar in the Cathedral" is one concrete proposal for the creation of a specific platform or context: the PAF, Performing Arts Forum. This new forum is located in a village nearby Reims, France, and has been proposed as an artist-created platform, which is to be shaped according to its users' desires.

http://mode05.org/node/183#comments Thought Mon, 03 Apr 2006 12:53:33 +0000 ulrike 183 at http://mode05.org Schule Machen http://mode05.org/node/140
In German there is an expression, "Schule machen", which literally translated means "to make school".

http://mode05.org/node/140#comments Thought Fri, 18 Mar 2005 21:11:05 +0000 Nina 140 at http://mode05.org Message to the outside world http://mode05.org/node/106
I just observed the striking discrepancy between the intensity of the discussions inside our think-tank and its accessibility for the outside world. The blog and the wiki turned out to be no appropriate tools to provide an insight into the processes happening here. So we're just figuring out a way to edit and transmit the enormous amount of material produced in here. Please be patient. It's not about ignorance or exclusivity, rather a question of how to get hold of a very intense process in a productive bubble.
http://mode05.org/node/106#comments Thought Wed, 16 Mar 2005 13:30:15 +0000 Pistepirkko 106 at http://mode05.org Hello from Paris http://mode05.org/node/60 I noticed your event in the blog of Lorenzini
I only want to say hello.
Have a lot of fun !

Hagens Blog http://mode05.org/node/60#comments Thought Wed, 09 Mar 2005 15:25:23 +0000 hagen 60 at http://mode05.org Motivation - Where do we stand? http://mode05.org/node/55
Thinking, acting, moving and joining together with different people and their approaches to teach dance and choreography marks one of the exitements and interests for me. In particapating mode 05
I would like to find a clearer vision about the contemporary demands and chances for a education model, which trains, forms, constructs and open up ways of thinking and moving the body.

http://mode05.org/node/55#comments Thought Tue, 01 Mar 2005 10:51:26 +0000 Sabine Huschka 55 at http://mode05.org Look inside from outside http://mode05.org/node/52
Hello everybody. As you can see from the list of participants I am not an active participant in the first place. Ulrike and Martin invited me to join the whole thing as an observer, so I will stay out of the process itself during the week in Potsdam. Although I want to contribute to the preparation: a little collection that grew when I tried to get more clear about what to go for and what to expect and what to avoid in this discussion. See you then.

http://mode05.org/node/52#comments Thought Fri, 25 Feb 2005 15:34:14 +0000 Constanze Klementz 52 at http://mode05.org Motivation http://mode05.org/node/50
My education was very traditional: school, university, sports and even dance in the beginning, was based on the idea of accelerating knowledge and development and pushing evolution. The theory of linear growth of knowlegde implicates an efficient and goal orientated learning, which at least the teacher should be able to define. The moment I started to question all this, was when I realised that I was bored so quickly. To recreate the mental structures I am used to for many years, is an ongoing process oscillating between creativity, mind, consciousness, psychology, emotions, disciplin, frustration, freedom and fun.

http://mode05.org/node/50#comments Thought Fri, 25 Feb 2005 13:00:25 +0000 Sabine Chwalisz 50 at http://mode05.org some notes on preparations http://mode05.org/node/48
Today we had one of our regular meetings at fabrik Potsdam; Sabine, Martin and me discussing and projecting what might happen in two and a half weeks when we're all together for mode05. Kind of hard... how to prepare an open process, knowing that all meaning and fixations are up to the process itself and the energy of 30 people starting a one week exploration on the issue of dance/choreography education?

http://mode05.org/node/48#comments Thought Thu, 24 Feb 2005 18:49:46 +0000 ulrike 48 at http://mode05.org Brief Statement on Personal Motives and Motivations http://mode05.org/node/46
I don’t consider myself a dancer. I didn’t go through a dance education, although sometimes my name is mentioned in programs in the category dance or even choreography. I rather consider myself a writer, although, during 7 years at university, I hardly got any proper instructions how to write. Nevertheless, I somehow learned to write by writing. The same with critical thinking. Nobody ever taught me how to do it, I simply learned it by following and rethinking others people’s thoughts. My most critical warm-up ever (by the non-dancer Jan Kopp) started with the words: „Strzn biideda liq bulglzst flüp da blgnouggntr.“

http://mode05.org/node/46#comments Thought Tue, 22 Feb 2005 14:27:44 +0000 Pistepirkko 46 at http://mode05.org SNDO discussion / interdisciplinary teacher groups http://mode05.org/node/45
What is attached is a collection of thoughts around the teaching at the School for New Dance Development, derived from a meeting of Gonnie Heggen, Alfredo Fernandez and Jeroen Fabius, all teachers at the school currently.
http://mode05.org/node/45#comments Thought Mon, 21 Feb 2005 14:30:12 +0000 Jeroen Fabius 45 at http://mode05.org
